Ovolo, Australia’s Most Recognized Hotel Brand By TripAdvisor
Ovolo Hotels is the most featured hotel group in the Australia’s Top 25 of the best hotels in the TripAdvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best 2020.
Upholding their reputation for excellence in hospitality and tourism, Ovolo Hotels celebrates another incredible win with the world’s largest travel site, TripAdvisor. In their annual Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best announcement; Ovolo Hotels is the most featured hotel group in the Top 25 of the best hotels in Australia.
Sydney’s Ovolo Woolloomooloo continues to impress, coming in second place in Australia, accompanied by Ovolo Inchcolm, The Woolstore 1888 Darling Harbour and Ovolo The Valley, with all 4 hotels placing in the Top 25.
The coveted honour comes from Ovolo’s past and present guests. The Traveller’s Choice winners are based on millions of reviews submitted to the site from travellers, considering the quality and quantity of reviews, opinions and ratings collected from TripAdvisor throughout 2019.
Commenting on the recognition, Ovolo Group Founder and CEO, Girish Jhunjhnuwala, said this recognition cements Ovolo as guest-centric hotels.
“Ovolo Hotels are all about connecting with our customers emotionally through design, art, fashion and great food and drink, ultimately providing the very best in an effortless experience.”
Ovolo Hotels had an exciting start to 2020, introducing the new brand positioning Wonder. Full., and recent times as an opportunity to adapt and innovate. The designer hotel collection is set to continue this momentum as they expand their empire even further with the opening of their first property in Bali with ‘Mamaka by Ovolo’, as well as the opening a new hotel in Melbourne’s South Yarra.

Only been here an hour and truly blown away
“We’ve just checked in!!!!! So impressed already – loving our cityvoo suite (515) with stunning views. Can’t wait to go exploring and see all that is here. Service and Reception staff are beyond fabulous.” Date of stay: June 2020
“Couldn’t fault it from check in to check out. Room was huge and comfy. Mentioned it was our anniversary on check in, then within about 5 minutes of getting to our room, had two complimentary cocktails delivered. Excellent breakfast and happy hour was great value too. Excellent restaurants next door and easy walk to Circular Quay.” Date of stay: January 2020
Fabulous hotel with an equally fabulous staff-in a fabulous city
“I have been staying at this hotel for 17 years during which time it has seen many incarnations. This past stay, with the hotel being the Ovolo the last few years, was truly outstanding. First of all, the hotel is in a great location-convenient to everything yet not in the congestion of downtown. Being a former receiving house, it has tremendous charm. The rooms have a great deal of personality-which can be found in every area of the hotel. The view of Sydney from my room was spectacular! The housekeeping department does a great job and there is a free well stocked mini bar in the room. Breakfast is included and is a beautiful complete buffet which certainly has several things for everyone. The restaurant Alibi serves delicious, creative food…” Date of stay: February 2020
“You know you have arrived at a very cool, young, hip and happening place when you pull up to the hotel. Before you even enter there is a life size connect four, bicycles and a small area for paddle tennis. We were immediately greeted inside by Kevin who took our luggage. For the entire time we were there he was very helpful and extremely friendly, we always enjoyed chatting with him. Service, service, service at this hotel was excellent. A young staff who were always available and ready willing and able to help and just plain happy. So nice to see…” Date of stay: February 2020
“Staff were lovely, great location and quirky rooms and service. Loved the free mini bar and they gave us as an added extra for our 25th wedding anniversary some really yummy popcorn and a bottle of Red. Thanks for making it extra special.” Date of stay: March 2020
“This is the 6th time we have stayed at the OVOLO Wooloomooloo. You don’t keep coming back unless it is something special! For us this hotel is simply amazing. In our opinion there is nothing like the OVOLO anywhere From the casual yet professional reception, the fab goodie bags the free mini bar, the relaxed happy atmosphere of the place to name but a few. The rooms with their water views are amazing & the beds so comfortable. Perfectly locate just a beautiful 10 minute walk North East through the Botanic Gardens to the Opera House. Also only a few minutes walk away is the Sydney Arts Gallery, Hyde Park & the best shopping Sydney has to offer. We cannot speak highly enough of the OVOLO Wooloomooloo it is: “Simply The Best” Date of stay: February 2020
“Great hotel, great staff, great location, great soundtrack! The Ovolo never fails to deliver. I always try and stay at the Ovolo when I’m in Sydney. Rooms are great with fantastic views. Rooms are well appointed.” Date of stay: February 2020
