5 Hong Kong Spots with New Lunch Deals’

Life’s been tough. We know it doesn’t need to be said more than it already has. So let’s just get right into it with our list of 5 spots that now have new lunch deals or menus – for when the restrictions get lifted!

Komune, VEDA, Te Quiero Mucho

We would be amiss to not mention the Ovolo restaurants in this list. Although we’ve always served a killer lunch, we’re now stepping up our lunch game with an all new promotion. You can get a full on 3-course lunch meal to-go with our Tiffin takeaways for only HK$98. Whether your Tiffin of choice is contemporary cuisine at Komune, hearty vegetarian at VEDA, or authentic modern Mexican fare at TQM, expect a perfectly packaged meal full of flavour, spice, and comfort. If one lunch isn’t enough to tickle your fancy, you can opt for Tiffin-Wala where buying 5 or 10 sets at a time gives you a huge discount.

VEDA

Kinship

Elegance, comfort, and everything nice. There’s no chemical X here though, just great chemistry between two good friends and veteran chefs, Chris Grare and Arron Rhodes, hence the name Kinship. We’re happy to know that Kinship is now serving a new lunch menu. Starting from HK$198, choose from 1, 2, or 3 courses to indulge in during the daytime.

The Diplomat

We’ve mentioned The Diplomat once in our previous Silver Egg post and we’re back again to talk about them. Previously never opened for lunch, they’re now becoming The Diplomat Café during the day to serve their classic and iconic dishes. And hey, while you’re at it why not order your favourite tipple (or two).

Hansik Goo

A bit of a quiet player, Hansik Goo met the unfortunate timing of soft-opening recently. Chef Mingoo Kang of one of Seoul’s best restaurants, Mingles (#13 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants), opened upscale Korean restaurant Hansik Goo back in June. The restaurant keeps its flavours traditional and classic, while reimagining them in a creative and modern way. Now opened for lunch, they will offer 2 tasting menus starting from HK$450.

The Pontiac

With its grungy and rockin’ retro vibe, The Pontiac is the place to catch some great tunes – make sure to look out for their jukebox too! Now having turned themselves into the Ponty Café, they’re serving up caffeine, booze, and bites starting 11am. There’s no better option for those who want to take it easy and chill out while enjoying their day-ly drink.
