A Little Bit About Sonesh Mool, Area GM – Central

As part of our “Get to Know Your General Manager” series, we sat down with Sonesh Mool next, the Area General Manager of Central. Keep reading below to see what makes our flagship property the most special one.

Tell us a little about yourself:

I’ve been with the Ovolo Group for 3+ years in various roles, but prior to this I owned my own men’s apparel and accessories company. Why? Probably because I enjoy dressing up. There’s nothing like a clean, well-fitted suit to start the day off, am I right?

What’s the coolest thing about your job?

The PEOPLE. I love working with my teams; I believe they are my first priority. Apart from the Ovolo team, being able to meet all our guests who walk through our doors is a privilege. Everyone has a story, and it’s great to be able to connect.

Imagine you could step in a teleport for a day and go to any place and time in history. Where and when would you travel to?

July 13, 1985 – the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia, USA.  How cool would it be to be standing front row at LIVE AID! Can you tell I love the 80’s smash hits… do check out Radio Ovolo on Spotify to listen to all these classics ;)

What is your favourite hide out spot in the hotel?

It may not be the most obvious “hide out” spot given that it’s front and centre on the doorstep, but right next to “Stainless Steel Stan”. But sometimes the least obvious choices are the best ones!

“How would you describe the color green to a blind and deaf person?”

Have them smell, touch, and feel blades of fresh cut grass, leaves of a plant, and an ice cold Heineken bottle as they each represent LIFE ;)
