Alternatives to travelling internationally

Just because you can’t travel abroad doesn’t mean you should cancel the holiday plans! Instead, consider a staycation in your own area, or travel to one of Australia’s top cities with luxury accommodations near the best attractions available from Ovolo.

Ovolo also has great options for business travellers looking for alternative meeting spaces or an escape from the home office.

International Travel

When will I be able to travel internationally?

Since banning all overseas travel on March 25th, Australia’s borders remain closed for the foreseeable future.

However, plans are already in the works to reopen travel between New Zealand and Australia in the “trans-tasman” zone, and many are hopeful that travel to the rest of the world will follow suit in early 2021.

What are Australian international travel restrictions?

While Australian citizens, residents and their immediate family members are allowed to return to Australia from abroad with a 14-day quarantine protocol, leaving Australia for Australian Citizens requires a special exemption for critical business, family crisis, and humanitarian aid.

Use the COVID-19 (Novel coronavirus) request to travel form if you require an exemption.
