This year Ovolo Hotels celebrated its 13th birthday!
We’ve always done things ‘the Ovolo way’, without accepting the status quo.

Tourism Employee Awards
Congratulations to Nicole Downs and Amanda Cottome for winning prestigious accolades at the Tourism Employee Awards 2023!
Nicole Downs, Group Director of People and Performance, has been awarded for Tourism Employee Excellence – People and Culture! Amanda Cottome, Director of Brand Experience and Sustainability, has been recognized for Excellence in Female Empowerment!
Their achievements are a testament to the incredible, you-nique talent and expertise we have amongst our Ovolo team. Keep crushing it!
TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2023
All Ovolo Hotels have been recognized by TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2023 with 3 properties ranked in the top 1% worldwide!
Out of TripAdvisor’s 8 million listings, Ovolo Woolloomooloo, Ovolo The Valley, and Laneways by Ovolo have been listed as “The Best of the Best”, entering the top 1% of properties worldwide and signifying the highest level of excellence in hospitality.
“Travellers’ Choice Award 2023” was received by all our properties, including Mamaka Bali, Ovolo Central, Ovolo Southside, Ovolo Nishi, The Woolstore 1888 by Ovolo, Ovolo South Yarra and The Inchcolm.
Dragon Boat Festival
Congratulations to our Champions in Hong Kong – Ovolo Diggers for winning the Dragon Boat Race 2023!
Ovolo Diggers brought home the gold! We couldn’t be prouder to support this fantastic group of athletes.
VEDA x Cathay Pacific
In August, Cathay Pacific has introduced a range of plant-forward dishes developed in collaboration with our Hong Kong-based vegetarian restaurant – VEDA, under the lead of the Executive Chef, Raul Tronco Calahorra.
Our partnership will enhance the dining experience on board, promote healthy eating and contribute to protecting our environment through vibrant and creative plant-forward dishes.
Cathay Pacific’s vision of embracing wellness, ethical eating and international culinary heritage aligns perfectly with our Plant’d vegetarian pledge, as well as our wider ‘Do Good. Feel Good.’ hashtag#sustainability commitment.

Ovolo Hotels just won “The Best Eco-Conscious Hotels in Hong Kong” at the Love Local: Reader’s Choice Awards 2023 by Honeycombers!
We know that doing good feels good. So, we aim to be a force for good on every level – from our individuals to our communities, and our planet. We’re inspired by this achievement to keep leading the way in sustainable hospitality, not just in Hong Kong, but everywhere our hotels are present, including Australia and Bali.
This award is the result of our awesome team’s work and the support of our guests who care deeply about the planet. Thanks a ton for voting for us!
OvoWalk
We have completed our 3rd annual Ovo-Walk, raising AUD$24,000 for the Bali Children Foundation!
Over 640 people in our teams across Bali, Hong Kong, and Australia walked in unison for the cause, alongside our suppliers such as LUXXE Outsourced Hotel Services, Joval Wines, Tea Drops, St Remio Coffee, and many others.
We made October 21st a day to remember. The raised funds will go directly to the children in the elementary school of SDN 3 Sidetapa in North Bali, to support them with needed school supplies and classroom upgrades.
The funds also provide a hospitality pathway for the students via Internships, traineeships, and scholarships at Ovolo Hotels.
