Hong Kong’s Best Vegetarian Brunch
If you’re on the hunt for Hong Kong’s best vegetarian fare, then a stop by Cirqle at Ovolo Southside should definitely be on your to do list.
While not a strictly vegetarian event, on account of the owner of Ovolo being a vegetarian, there are plenty of tantalizing meat-free dishes on offer. As a long-time vegetarian and aspiring vegan myself, I jumped at the opportunity to sample the famous Cirqle buffet in Wong Chuk Hang.
Cirqle’s all-you-can-eat brunch takes place every Sunday on Ovolo’s picturesque balcony overlooking Ocean Park and Deep Water Bay. Enjoy the gorgeous views as you sip on free-flow champagne or sangria, and attempt to taste a small portion of every dish available. With so much on offer it’s almost impossible!
Aside from the buffet there is also a barbecue setup on the balcony with staff on hand ready to grill skewers of mushroom, eggplant or pumpkin for you, sautéed in the sauces of your choosing.
I started my brunch (which seems like it’s just a fancy way of saying lunch) at the buffet, and didn’t move on to the BBQ area until my 4th and final plate. My goal was to sample a taste of every vegetarian dish available, which I nearly managed to do. With so much to choose from it was no easy feat!
I could go on and on about all of the delicious brunch items on offer, but I know, especially when it comes to food, a picture speaks a thousand words. So I took a heap of them for you to see. Take a look at some of the delicious vegetarian food options below, and make sure you put Cirqle’s buffet lunch of your to-do list of places to visit this summer!
Here are some of my snaps a selection of the vegetarian food at the buffet restaurant –
If I’ve convinced you to try out the Cirqle brunch buffet, be sure to let me know how you liked it. Also if you have other tips for great vegetarian or vegan restaurants in Hong Kong, please leave me a comment below. I love trying out new, healthy and cruelty-free places to eat!
