Above at Ovolo Southside is one of the latest rooftop bars to grace Hong Kong’s nightlife scene. Located on the 23rd floor of the urban-chic designer hotel, the comfy lounge seating on the expansive outdoor terrace is the perfect place to chill out at the end of the day. While most of the city’s rooftop bars offer views of Hong Kong’s famous skyline, Above offers a unique perspective of the city, with views of the surrounding lush green hills and down towards the Southside beach of Deep Water Bay. The mixology team whip up a selection of innovative cocktails, such as Amber Lips – a fusion of Absolut Vanilla, hibiscus liqueur, passionfruit and lime.

The go-to bar for schmoozing clients in Central, Sevva’s large outdoor terrace finds itself in the shadow of the imposing HSBC building, putting you right in the centre of Hong Kong’s beating heart. Perched on the 25th floor roof of the Prince’s Building, this swanky joint attracts the see-and-be-seen crowd, who flock here at sunset to sip on signature Asian-inspired cocktails such as the Karma Sutra – fresh passionfruit, mango, lime and dark rum.

Located on the 118th floor of the Ritz Carlton hotel in Kowloon, Ozone claims the title of Highest Bar in the World. Choose from an indoor lounge seat, or brave the outdoor terrace for vertigo-inducing views of Hong Kong Island. The menu boasts a range of champagne cocktails, or choose the aptly named Hong Kong Rooftop – a blend of salted caramel, vodka, kumquat, grapefruit juice, strawberry and lemon juice.

Aqua Spirit is arguably the best spot in town to take in A Symphony of Lights – the nightly light show that sets Hong Kong’s staggering skyline on fire. Kept deliberately dark inside to make the most of the unobstructed panoramic views through the floor-to-ceiling windows, Aqua Spirit is a sexy, sultry bar that draws in a glamorous crowd. A range of signature cocktails include the self-named Aquatini, and the location-specific Kowloon Park – a refreshing concoction of Ketel One vodka, peach schnapps, fresh ginger, lemon, lime and apple juice.
