Some may call the season that begins in June Winter, but at Ovolo we call it Dining out season. Indulgent dishes, smoked cocktails, fresh produce cooked over fire, and flowing glasses of wine – here’s where you can make the most of our Dining out season.  

Martini long lunch | The Inchcolm Bar | Brisbane 

If the martini was a person, it would despise a rushed lunch. If the moment couldn’t be savoured, if it wasn’t shared with friends and friendly strangers, it simply wouldn’t rock up. 

So to celebrate World Martini Day the right way, The Inchcolm Bar is hosting an appropriately long three-course lunch in the Parlour, matched with three exclusive martinis never poured before in The Inchcolm Bar.

Curley on Curly | Amphlett House | Melbourne 

In celebration of Drink Victorian month with Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, Amphlett House is welcoming the team from Curly Flat Vineyard for a very special three course dinner with matched wines.  

Owner Jenni Kolkka will showcase their latest vintage of cool climate wines from their small-scale vineyard in the stunning Macedon Ranges, where the vines are grown to be expressive of variety and to resonate with a sense of place and time. 

In the kitchen, Ian Curley and head chef Ben Green will put together a fantastic feast to accompany these uniquely Victorian wines.

ZZT takeover | ZA ZA TA | Brisbane 

Four of Ovolo’s leading chefs from across Australia – Pamella Tomio (Lona Misa, Melbourne), Federica Lunato (Monster, Canberra), Cristina Delgato (The Inchcolm Bar, Brisbane), and Kya Knight (ZA ZA TA, Brisbane) – will join forces in Brisbane to create a spectacular vegetarian dining event.  

Across this exclusive six course tasting dinner, the chefs have co-designed a sprawling feast of vegetarian dishes that celebrate their restaurants and individual styles.

Going Gonzo | Lona Misa | Melbourne 

For one night only, Lona Misa is hosting the rule-breaking team from Gonzo Vino for an evening of technicolour feasting and drinking. The brainchild of ex-Vue de monde sommelier Marcus Radney, Gonzo is a 1960’s invention with a 2020’s perspective – we’re talking about goon for grown-ups.  

Textural, juicy, flavour-driven wines with minimal intervention and maximum impact, Gonzo is changing the wine game and up for a slew of awards. Head chef Pam Tomio will be pairing four of Marcus’ wines with a special four course dinner.

Yalla Saturdays | KAZBA | Brisbane 

Flying in the face of winter, the party rolls on at KAZBA with the third instalment of Yalla Saturdays.  

The Tel Aviv inspired long lunch is the perfect way to kickstart your weekend, with flowing Bulldog G&Ts, Aperol Spritz, and house wine paired with a bountiful mezze feast, Persian dessert station, and a live DJ pumping Arabic house tunes. Yalla!
