Hong Kong hospitality chain Ovolo has taken its Australian presence to four hotels after buying the 50-room New Inchcolm Hotel & Suites in Brisbane for $16.5 million.

Ovolo Southside inhabits a former warehouse in the emerging arts district Wong Chuk Hang. Exposed pipes and raw brick finish the 162 pared-down rooms, some with floor-to-ceiling views of the South China Sea; the rooftop bar is blanketed in graffiti.
