Asia’s premiere fashion event, CENTRESTAGE returns for a fourth year in a row with the focus being primarily on sustainable fashion. The two-day summit will host a series of seminars featuring top Asian fashion designers and experts to share insights and explore future trends.
The two elites of this year’s summit are Anais Jourden and Joseph Altuzarra. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Anais Jourden founded ANAÏS JOURDEN in 2012. She studied in Paris where she merged the European culture with the neon-lit memories of her hometown creating a brand without boundaries. Through her unexpected use of embroidery, unique texture, gatherings and pleating, she breaks down the classic feminine look and creates a casual look expressing the modern woman. Anais Jourden was the only Hong Kong based womenswear label to be featured in Paris Fashion Week 2018 and her brand is showcased at the leading International retailers such as Lane Crawford.
Joseph Altuzarra’s diverse background is the foundation of his brand. Taking inspiration from facets of his background along with his passion for literature, film, and fine arts, he created a bold womenswear line, ALTUZARRA that is elegant, sexy, and avant-garde. His work experience speaks for itself as he has worked with Riccardo Tisci, Nicholas Caïto, and the list goes on. ALTUZARRA has been worn on the red carpet by a long list of powerful women such as Awkwafina, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Nicole Kidman. Joseph has been recognized numerous times at the Council of Fashion Designers America as Womenswear Designer of the Year in 2014 and the Accessories Council’s Designer of the Year in 2017.
CENTRESTAGE is the event of the season for the fashion industry. Brands showcase their latest collections, experts share insights and provide recommendations for the future of fashion. The Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ contest gives an opportunity to aspiring designers to present their ideas.
