THE NAKED TRUTH: A TRUE STORY OF A TROUBLED SLEEPING SUPER-STAR

It started like any other night at Mamaka Hotels & Resorts, the kind of night where everything softens. The ocean hums, the rooftop energy fades, and the corridors fall into that quiet, almost cinematic stillness.
I was there that evening to personally look after one of our guests, a well-known influencer. Big following, familiar face, the kind of presence that subtly shifts the atmosphere of a hotel. Everything went smoothly. Warm welcome, smooth check-in, nothing out of place.

By midnight, the hotel had settled.

Or at least… we thought it had.

THE FIFTH FLOOR

Sometime deep into the night, the stillness broke.
Room 507 reported a knock.
Soft. Polite. Almost hesitant.
The guest checked the time, past 3AM and ignored it.
Then came another knock.
Longer this time.

When the door finally opened… no one.
Just an empty corridor on the 5th floor, lit by that low golden light that suddenly didn’t feel so warm anymore.

KNOCK. PAUSE. WALK.

Then it happened again.
Room 509.
Then 512.
Same pattern.
Knock.
Pause.
Walk.
Guests began noticing something wasn’t right. One of them opened the door just in time to catch a glimpse

A FIGURE

Barefoot. Calm. Moving slowly .
Not aggressive. Not rushed.
Just… there.

“He looked awake,” one guest said.
“But also… not.”
“And….naked.”

THE CALL

At around 3:40AM, the front office received the chat on Handigo:
“Hi… someone is walking around knocking on doors, Naked, It’s a bit strange.”
Security immediately pulled up the CCTV.
And there he was.

THE INFLUENCER

Walking alone along the 5th floor corridor. That Stark naked standing in the hallway, Eyes open but distant. Expression blank. Movements slow and deliberate, like he was following a path only he could see.

SOMETHING FEELS OFF

There was no sign of distress. No signs of intoxication. No interaction.
Just a repeated motion door to door, knock to knock like a loop he couldn’t exit.
Before the team could reach the floor, he had already turned.
Not toward his room.
But toward the emergency exit.

THE TURN

On camera, it was almost eerie how natural it looked.
He pushed open the emergency stairwell door without hesitation and stepped inside.
Still calm. Still silent.
Still asleep.

THE FALL

Then, one wrong step.
A slip.
A sudden fall down part of the staircase.
No shout. No reaction.
Just impact… and stillness.

THE WAKE-UP

Security reached him within minutes.
He was conscious, but disoriented.

No memory of leaving his room.
No memory of the hallway.
No memory of the fall.

Just confusion.
“What happened?”

THE TRUTH

At the hospital, the diagnosis was clear minor shoulder injury. Nothing serious.
But the real answer came from something far less visible:

SLEEPWALKING

A condition that can turn the most grounded person into a quiet wanderer in the middle of the night, moving, acting, even interacting… without ever being awake.

AFTER THE NIGHT

He returned to Mamaka Hotels & Resorts a few days later.
Safe. A little shaken. A lot more aware.
And so were we.
Now?
Guests are reminded to double-lock their doors, The team keeps a closer watch on late-night movement, And stories like this become part of the quiet legend of the place.

BECAUSE SOMETIMES…

The strangest moments in a hotel aren’t planned.
They don’t come with noise or chaos.
They come softly.
With a knock.
At 3AM.
From someone who isn’t even awake.
