The International Kite Festival Sanur is the biggest kite festival that is held annually every July. The last festival was held in last 2019 and was then halted for the last 3 years due to the global pandemic. Finally, they are back this July celebrating the local culture.
There are many large traditional Balinese kites that are usually flown at the International Kite Festival Sanur. The kite is 4 meters wide and about 10 meters long. Not only unique and large kites are flown at the Bali International Kite Festival, but there is also a kite competition per team based on the village or banjar in Denpasar.
