Q: How many people can the room occupy?
A: 2 people for the Studio, Studio Suite and 1 Bedroom, 4 people for 2 Bedroom and Terrace/Penthouse.
Q: Can I add an air bed in the rooms?
A: NO – additional linen can be supplied to rooms with separate living area at the cost of $50AUD.
Q: Do you offer flexible check-in / check-out times?
A: We try to meet all our guest requirements. Our flexible check-in / check-out times are subject to availability.
Q: Do you allow pets in the hotel?

Q: Do you have baby cots and what is the cost?
A: We do have free baby cots available and are subject to availability upon check-in.
Q: What time do you serve breakfast?
A: Grab N Go breakfast is available between 7:00am - 10:00am.
Q: Do you have a gym?
A: We don't have a gym on-site, but are always working on partnerships with nearby gyms so our guests can work out. Stay tuned!
Q: Do you provide detergents in the self-laundry room?
A: Yes, the detergents are free of charge.
Q: Can I smoke in the rooms?
A: No, sorry! Our entire building is non-smoking.

A: Ovolo Laneways is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Melbourne, featuring 42 rooms and spacious suites with original artwork, luxurious bathrooms, and free high-speed WIFI.

Q: How far is it to the train station?
A: Our hotel is located only 500m from Parliament Station which is on Spring Street. This train station is a part of the city loop and will take you to Southern Cross Station in a matter of minutes where the Airport Skybus departs.
Q: How do I get to and from the airport?
A: The Skybus Shuttle operates an airport bus service between Melbourne Avalon Airport, Tullamarine Airport and Southern Cross Station in the Melbourne City Centre. Please check the Skybus website for the latest prices: www.skybus.com.au
Q: Is there any parking?
A: Parking is available at the nearby First Parking - 55 Bourke St, or 34/60 Little Collins St (24/7 access). The discounted cost for guests is $25 AUD per day, multiple entry. Please pay direct at Ovolo Laneways.
Q: How do I catch the trams around Melbourne?
A: Did you know trams are free in the main CBD area, and tourist passes are also available? Ask us for more info!
Q: Are there any bars and restaurant in the neighborhood?
A: The hotel is located in the heart of the city, close to a wide variety of restaurants. We are also at the top end of China Town. Not sure what to order? Ask our staff.

Q: What's the best area of Melbourne to stay in?
A: Melbourne's thriving CBD is the perfect location to stay and play in Australia's hippest city. The city centre is one big culture and dining hub which is why it is the most visited by tourists. South Yarra, Docklands and Southbank are popular Melbourne suburbs with some of the best Melbourne restaurants, fashion and sights to explore.
Q: How does payment work?
A: We accept credit card (VISA, Diners, Master, Amex) cash and bank transfer. For non-refundable booking we require the payment in advance. We will charge the given credit card for the full rental once the booking is made. For the regular booking we will hold the given credit card for 1 night rental as guarantee. The room rental and deposit will be required upon check in. There is a 1.6% surcharge on Mastercard & Visa transactions, and a 3% surcharge on Amex, Diners and JCB.
Q: What if I wish to pay by cash?
A: For non-refundable bookings a valid credit card must be used to pay at the time of booking. Cash payment is not accepted for non-refundable booking. For flexible bookings we will hold the given credit card for 1 night rental as guarantee. The guest can settle the deposit and rental upon check in by cash.
Q: What if I don’t have credit card, how can I make the booking?
A: If the guest is in Melbourne, they can come to the hotel reception directly to make the booking and settle the room rental in person. If the guest is overseas or interstate, the credit card details must be required. It can be guest’s credit card or 3rd party credit card (Credit card authorization form is required to fill in). We can hold the amount (not yet charged) then the guest can consider to settle the rental by overseas wire transfer. After the payment is received we can release the credit card amount back to the given credit card.
Q: Can I shorten the stay after check in?
A: For non-refundable bookings we will charge the full amount even if the guest check out early. We are unable to refund the remaining room rental. For the regular booking the guest can advise hotel by giving 48 hours in advance notice prior to 2:00pm to shorten the stay.
Q: Can I use my friend’s credit card to make the booking?
A: Yes, you can use 3rd party’s credit card for rental payment. The credit cardholder is required to fill in the Credit Card Authorization Form and send back the credit card front and back side along with photo identification to hotel in order to authorize hotel to charge the given credit card.
Q: Can I book the room for special event e.g Wedding / birthday party / photo shoot?
A: Rooms can be booked for special occasions but a No Party Policy applies. Please contact us for more information.
