The Ovolo Homecoming Project, In Partnership With The Zubin Foundation
As of a couple weeks ago, we announced our official partnerships with multiple Hong Kong local NGOs for our Ovolo Homecoming Project.
We would like to take this opportunity to dive a little deeper into one of the partners, The Zubin Foundation. The Foundation focuses on improving the lives of Hong Kong’s marginalised ethnic minorities through education, awareness, and general support to the community. Their projects range from research to workshops to engagement with public policy makers, all of which have contributed to their reputation as one of the most well-respected social organizations in the city.
The Foundation is headed and founded by Shalini Mahtani, one of the biggest figures in the community of diversity and inclusion. She has been honoured in multiple respects, including the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leader, as well as having received an MBE from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for her services in corporate social responsibility in Hong Kong. She was also recognised by the HKSAR Government for her contribution to issues related to ethnic minorities in Hong Kong.
Within this partnership The Zubin Foundation will use their expertise and resources to vet and speak to all applicants, and we will then book in the ones they deem the most suitable for the initiative.
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such an inspiring Foundation who are doing so much to help their local community. One of Ovolo’s values are giving back locally, so who better to look towards than one of the community leaders?
