Quick Guide to Her Majesty’s Theatre Seating

Seating plan at Her Majesty’s Theatre Melbourne

If you are going to book a ticket at Her Majesty’s Theatre, take a look at their seating chart to choose the best seats available and get familiar with where the doors and exits are located. The theatre’s 1700 seating capacity is spread across three levels, with 806 seats in the Stalls, 428 seats in the Dress Circle and 466 in the Grand Circle.

For secure booking, please note that only the direct website for Her Majesty’s Theatre and Ticketek are authorised ticket sellers. Therefore, you are strongly advised to buy tickets only through them and not any other unauthorised resellers, which may result in your entry to the theatre being refused.

The main doors open 2 hours before the start of each performance, and the auditorium doors open 30 minutes before the scheduled performance time. Some performances may involve a lock-out period once the show has begun, so please ensure you arrive with enough time spare to find your seats and get comfortable. In the event that you are late and cannot get into the auditorium due to lock-out, the performance is streamed live in the foyer, so that you can still watch it and then find your seats during the next interval.

Advance booking is strongly recommended to those who need special assistance or wheelchair access, to ensure there are appropriate seats available. There is no lift at the theatre so should you require wheelchair access, please purchase seats in the Stalls section on the lower level of the auditorium.
