‘Wine and Shine’ Series

Our restaurant VEDA is all about Aussie Wines! This month, we’re feeling the 2014 Tolpuddle Chardonnay that pairs perfectly with our Za’atar roasted carrots with kale, quinoa, and blood orange maple dressing. Who doesn’t like music, cabaret, comedy, theatre and art… now with a queer twist?

MELT, Brisbane Powerhouse’s annual showcase is an open invitation to celebrate Brisbane’s wonderfully diverse queer communities.

This year with the first ever MELT queer comedy gala; immersive performance La Silhouette, which turns a cabaret club into a maze; five powerful ladies channelling Freddie Mercury in Killer Queens; and a huge free costume party. For the first time ever in Hong Kong, there will be an exhibition of 90 rare intimate shots of Audrey taken by Bob Willoughby. The outstanding collection includes behind-the-scene shots from her movies and candid photos with her family.

RISE Hong Kong

From 8-11 July, leaders from the world’s biggest companies along with influential investors, major global media outlets, and some of the most brilliant minds in international tech and start-ups will descend on Hong Kong for RISE. If you want to mix business with leisure, the RISE Night Summit kicks off at 8pm each night of the conference and introduces delegates to Hong Kong’s hidden nightlife gems.

Dragonboat Carnival

The Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival is THE place to be between the 14th-16th June. Over three days you can enjoy fierce competition, boards, beers, and the cheers of hundreds of thousands of spectators. This year Ovolo will be cheering on the Dubai Diggers who will be vying for a coveted podium spot against the multitude of other dragonboat teams from both Hong Kong and across the globe.
