Phantom Plane, Cyberpunk In The Year Of The Future

As part of Tai Kwun’s newest exhibit and as an ode to 2019 being the “year of the future in films” such as Blade Runner and Akira, the Centre for Curatorial Studies from Bard College co-presents: “Phantom Plane, Cyberpunk in the year of the future”. Until early next year, this Central art exhibit will take on prevalent issues through forms of art: exploring how this genre has also bled into art and visual culture.

Just a stone’s throw away from Ovolo Central, head there after to unwind and relax.

Projekt Berlin

A second installation in this month’s Tai Kwun galleries is Projekt Berlin, an exhibit fully dedicated to reminiscing and celebrating the cultural hub of Berlin. Dubbed as having “intrinsic resilience” against everything history throws its way, Berlin is home to creative powerhouses of all sorts, ranging from film to music to public art. Take a couple hours of your weekend to soak in the beauty that is Berlin.

Once you’re done admiring the exhibition, head to VEDA and indulge in a cheeky vino (or two).

Who Gives A Crap? Ovolo gives a crap!

We all love a bit of toilet humour and we’re hoping our choices convince others to wipe right. Starting with humble beginnings in March 2013, Ovolo quickly jumped on board with Who Gives A Crap toilet paper, to brighten up our loos across our hotels in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Canberra – while doing good. Our choice to work with Who Gives A Crap comes from a quality product which is made from 100% recycled paper – meaning we’re saving trees, water and energy. Not only this, Who Give A Crap really gives a crap with 50% of profits donated to help build toilets and improve sanitation in the developing world.
