Inspired by the vibrant Tel Aviv bar scene, amidst a warm setting rich in eclectic character, with Middle Eastern edge meets a modern-colonial vibe.

ZA ZA TA features a curated collection of colonial-inspired rums and bespoke cocktails mixed, muddled and infused with spices traded at every Middle Eastern market place, accompanied by Queensland’s seasonal citrus and indigenous botanicals. Influenced by the flavours and aromas of ancient Arabian spice routes, settle in and enjoy Old World rums, Mediterranean style gin and tonics, and an ever-changing wine and cocktail list.

The wine offering has been curated with energetic artisanal wines at the forefront; a collection of Tel Aviv inspired drops that are sophisticated in their own way but don’t take themselves too seriously. A global melting pot of culture, Tel Aviv is where cultures collide and wine flows from every provenance.

Australian producers who embody the spirited nature of Tel Aviv and the Mediterranean will also be celebrated, and as Mother Earth is important to us here at ZA ZA TA, the entire list rejoices in organic, plant-based and biodynamic principles.

Middle Eastern edge meets a modern colonial vibe.

ZA ZA TA is a home with the warmth of a sprawling grand Queenslander with many rooms, each room with it’s individual purpose, charm and personality.

Award-winning interior designers, Luchetti Krelle, have created a casual yet refined dining experience inspired by the conservatories of the Victorian era to nooks reminiscent of 1940’s cocktail armoire, offering twinkling bottles to the thirsty traveller. Journey through ZA ZA TA and uncover unexpected delights, including interactive experiential art set amidst a lush urban oasis taking details from traditional Queensland architecture and by layering it into the Victorian inspired interiors.


Playing homage to the spice, za’atar, spearheading the ZA ZA TA kitchen is Israeli-born Executive Chef Roy Ner (ex-Nour, NSW) and Head Chef, Dario Manca (ex-Pilu at Freshwater, NSW). Ner has a life-long passion for food and cooking, and draws influences from the surrounding Middle Eastern inspirations of Israeli fare.

Take a break from the office to savour our latest summer lunch menu, featuring three different set experience that include a vibrant array of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean delights with your choice of a main. Whether it be our tantalizing Cauliflower Shawarma or Confit Spiced Duck served with Creamy Hummus, we’re serving up a lunch like no other in Fortitude Valley.

Available Tuesday through Saturday.

With connected events spaces, The Grand Hall and The Games Room are perfect when you need a lively, modern space with a whole lotta character, for larger meetings and events. Or enjoy ZA ZA TA, just for the night, for up to 242 of your closest friends.

ZA ZA TA is a place where everyone experiences a rich kaleidoscope of cuisine, with menu offerings evocative of the melting pot of influences from Middle Eastern to Mediterranean cuisine, alongside a curated collection of artisanal cocktails, spirits, and wines, hand-picked to both excite and delight.
