An insider fashion guide to VAMFF

Australia’s largest fashion event will take over Melbourne 1-10 March with established and emerging designers taking over the runway as well as other fashion entertainment, exhibitions, talks—and plenty of opportunities for celeb spotting.

What dates is VAMFF?
VAMFF runs from March 1-10.

 

What time are the shows?

There are two runway shows a night from Monday-Saturday at 7pm and 8.30pm featuring all your favourite Australian and international designers.

 

Where is it?
It’s at the Royal Exhibition Building, 9 Nicholson Street, Carlton North, Melbourne.

 

How can I buy tickets?

Which designers are involved?
All the biggest names in Australian fashion will be there including Dion Lee, Ginger & Smart, Manning Cartel and Scanlan Theodore, Alice McCALL, Bec + Bridge, C/MEO COLLECTIVE and P.E. Nation.

 

Are there any new designers coming this year?

Yes absolutely! 2019 brings A.BCH, Sister, Double Rainbouu, LIMB The Label, Leo & Lin and Client Liaison Deluxe Line into the VAMFF line up.

 

Who’s the big-name celebrity guest?
American supermodel, designer and body activist Ashley Graham is hitting Australia for the first time ever for VAMFF. Graham, who made history as the first size 16 US model to cover Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, will walk in Runway 4 and appear as a keynote speaker at the Australian Fashion Summit.

 

What should I check out while I’m here?

We recommend the National Graduate Showcase where Australia’s brightest fashion graduates take to the runway.  This is the time to check out some emerging fashion trends and check out who could be ‘the next big thing’ in fashion.

 

 

Is there anything else happening?
