As exciting as Hong Kong’s nightlife scene is, a night on the tiles can easily cost an arm and a leg. Thank goodness, then, for happy hour – the perfect way to wind down after a long day with a few drinks and some delicious nosh. And true to our city’s work hard, play hard mentality, we do happy hour right. Divino

One of Soho’s longest-operating hot spots, Divino is place to see and be seen. The Italian joint offers a happy hour, or as they call it “Aperitif Moment” with cocktails starting from $68 and an antipasti bar that will make you wanna cancel dinner plans!

Neighbourhood joint Oolaa sits in a vast, open-fronted space just between SoHo and Sheung Wan. By day, it’s all Aussie-style pizzas, steaks, pastas and the like, and come happy hour, you get Peroni and prosecco for $40, while there’s a free tapas buffet 5pm to 7pm. And from 6pm – 7pm, Happy Hour gets extra special with drink prices dropped to $30!!! Ladies, on Wednesdays you get free drinks from 6pm to 7pm.

Every Monday throughout the summer, Stazione Novella holds Summer of Spritz, pouring the famed Italian aperitif on-tap at $48/glass or $198/jug, all day and all night. Aperitivo is also extended through the night during these Monday sessions for when late-night cravings strike.

Trendy American hotspot Stone Nullah Tavern has a pretty jaw-dropping happy hour. Every weeknight at 5pm, drinks start at $1 (yes, you read that right), doubling every 20 minutes until 7pm. Hit the bar/restaurant at 5pm sharp. FYI: it’s located on historic Stone Nullah Lane, and just a few steps down from the restaurant you’ll spot the famous Blue House, a Grade I historic structure built in the 1920s that is still occupied by tenants today.
